Stamford National Opening Day 2019

Welcome to the 2019 baseball season! 

To kick off the season, Opening Day Ceremonies will be held Saturday, April 27th at Scalzi Park. Ceremonies will begin at 9:30am and will be followed by a Majors division game between the Braves and Mets at 12 pm and the Pirates and Cardinals at 2 pm.  All divisions will have games that day after the ceremonies on various Stamford National fields.

All players are to be at Scalzi Park with their teams at 9:30am, in uniform (uniforms will be distributed at the ceremonies if teams haven't received them yet) and will be organized for a 10:00am start. All teams will assemble outside the main field in the sections designated for each division. There will be signs for your team’s division and you should assemble there.  Please stay with your team before and during the ceremony. Tee Ball teams will be announced by 4/21.

 Opening day ceremonies will include the following:

  1. Introduction of all division teams, managers and coaches, as they are announced while walking onto the field

  2. Recognition of 2018 All Star Teams

  3. Introduction of the 2019 Board

  4. National Anthem and Little League Pledge

  5. Ceremonial first pitch

Preseason Information

Stamford National Preseason Update

Thank you for registering for the Spring 2019 Little League season.  Here is some relevant information so you know what to expect as we get going.
Team Assignments
Our evaluations are complete and the Majors and AAA teams have been selected - AAA players should have been contacted by their coaches at this point.
We will construct teams for the lower divisions in the coming weeks and you should be notified by a coach the week of April 7.
There is still plenty of time and room to register for players 9 and under.  Let your friends know.
The season will start for upper divisions the week of April 23.  Opening day for all other teams will be Saturday, April 27.  The season will run until June 15.
The practice and game schedule cannot be finalized until all registrations are in and teams are assigned.  Here is what you can expect, however:
- Tee Ball and A levels will play games on Saturdays and Sundays with time for practice prior to the game.  A Division teams may have one additional practice during the week at the discretion of coaches.
- AA and AAA teams will have 1 to 2 practices per week and 2-3 games per week (games could be scheduled on any day). 
- Majors will practice 2-3 timesper week and play 2-3 games 
The only required equipment is a baseball glove.  Players will receive a hat, jersey, and voucher for baseball pants at or prior to the opening day.  Teams will be supplied with bats and helmets. Players who pitch must have a heart guard chest protector when they pitch. If your player has their own bat, it must have the USA Baseball logo and have been purchased in the last two years. Cleats and athletic protectors are also recommended.
If this is your first year in the league, please make sure to send copies of Proof of Age and Proof of residency to 
Check for open balances.  On the site click My Account.  We must receive payment or proof of reduced lunch prior ot the season starting.

Spring 2019 Registration is Now Open

Welcome to another exciting season of baseball!

Registration for the Spring 2019 season of Stamford National Little League is now open to those who meet either our residency or school requirements.


1. ONLINE REGISTRATION (most effective) – register and pay right here by clicking the orange button in the upper right  (new players scan/email or mail copies of required documents)

2. MAIL-IN REGISTRATION -- print, complete, and send required forms found on the right side of this site (registration and medical), age/residency documents (if necessary), and payment (check made out to SNLL)  Scan and send via email or mail to John Vomacka, 83 Kenilworth Dr W, Stamford, CT 06902

3. IN-PERSON REGISTRATION -- we will be taking in-person registration at either of our player evaluation sessions at Stillmeadow School on March 2 and March 17 from 9am-12pm. Go to, print, complete, and bring required forms (registration and medical), age/residency documents (if necessary), and payment (cash or check to SNLL)


Registration Deadlines:

March 1 for Majors, March 16 for ages 8-11, and March 31 for ages 4-7

Your child’s Little League age is their age as of Aug 31, 2019


RESIDENCY RULE: Those residing within league boundaries (generally Westover, Downtown, Mid City,West Side, Southend, Shippan, Cove) are eligible to play.  Before registering, please review our league boundary map, on the website (, to make sure you qualify to play in Stamford National Little League. If you played in the league last year but have moved to an address outside the league’s boundaries you remain eligible to play in Stamford National, though additional paperwork is required. Contact

SCHOOL RULE:  Kids may also play for the league where their school is located, regardless of where they live. This means children attending the following schools are also eligible to play little league with Stamford National: Hart, KT Murphy, Rogers, Roxbury, Stillmeadow, Westover, Cloonan, Waterside School, Strawberry Hill School, and Trailblazers Academy. You and the school will be required to complete a form (located on league’s website; one form with a section for each). The residency documents are not required under the school rule.


Age/Residency/School documentation is required for all NEW players (those who did not play in Stamford National in 2018 ).  Required documents include a copy of player’s birth certificate (do not send the original), copies of three (3) different items for proof of residency (e.g., utility bill, cable bill, driver’s license, etc.), and/or the School Enrollment form, as applicable.


FEES: Ages 10-12: $190         Ages 8-9: $165         Ages 6-7: $140    Ages 4-5: $85


Financial assistance is available to players who receive reduced/free lunch at school. Please email a copy of your voucher or letter to the Player Agent or bring to the in-person registration.


Teams for all divisions will be formed by April 1.  Games will begin on April 23 and run through mid-June. Practices will be scheduled by coaches once teams are formed.
